Stonebridge Outdoor Staff
Mike Crist has served as Stonebridge Outdoor’s Owner/General Manager since the company was formed in 2005. He has taken pride in creating a company that stands out above all others in the industry. In assembling a group of highly skilled staff, unique designs, and superior product, Mike has empowered Stonebridge Outdoor to be a leader in the outdoor living industry. His enthusiasm for client satisfaction is the primary focus in every aspect of his business.
Mike enjoys spending time with his wife, Laura and they’ve recently begun training for and competing in triathlons together. They make an annual trip to Costa Rica to surf. Whether working, vacationing, or exercising, Mike loves to spend time outdoors.
Lauren Mackin has served as Stonebridge Outdoor’s Creative Director since she joined the company in February of 2013. Her role is primarily focused on acting as the lead designer of landscapes and outdoor living spaces, though she also consults on nearly all of the company’s marketing and creative pursuits. Landscape Design and outdoor living has been Lauren’s passion and career path since she began her studies in Horticulture and Design at Kansas State University (2001-2006). The combination of working with people in an outdoor setting, paired with the problem solving and creative processes has proved to be an ideal fit for her. She and her work have been featured in many local and national publications, including the KC Star and Better Homes & Gardens magazine, and she speaks regularly to industry and garden groups.
When she is not at her drawing table or on a jobsite, Lauren enjoys checking out local restaurants, attending KC sporting events, or venturing off for weekend getaways with her husband, Todd. The two live in the Crossroads Arts District with their rescued chocolate lab and spoiled golden retriever.
Starting in June of 2014 , Charlie’s role as Operations Manager is diverse. From acquiring materials, scheduling jobs, and accounting – to consulting on fountains and water features, every day holds a handful of different tasks. “My goal is to help make everything here run as smooth as possible and I am excited to be working with such a great group of people.”
Charlie has over 20 years’ experience in the Kansas City area with fountains, cast stone, retail management, and manufacturing. With a background in ceramics, drawing, and photography, he has an appreciation of the creative process. “Joining the team at Stonebridge has allowed me to be a part of projects from start to finish which is exciting and rewarding”
After many years of rock climbing, backpacking and other outdoor pursuits, Charlie is now happy to focus his free time on his wife and 2 young children in South Kansas City.
Ben Clibon joined us at Stonebridge in the spring of 2009. His background, which includes a degree in Construction Management from the University of Central Missouri and 15 years of experience in construction management, makes him an invaluable part of our team as a Project Manager. He specializes in irrigation, softscape/hardscape, and night lighting installations, as well as the construction of pergolas and outdoor kitchens.
When he is not hard at work on a jobsite, he enjoys renovating his own home in Platte City, biking, and spending time outdoors.
Jonathan Willard is a fairly recent full-time addition to the Stonebridge team, but he has been a valued summer and part-time employee since 2011. He became a permanent staple after completing his degree in sculpture from the University of Central Missouri. He wears many hats at Stonebridge, including mowing and maintenance crew leader, but his passion lies in the design and fabrication of custom outdoor structures, artwork and accessories. His design style often involves the combination of materials like concrete, wood and metal with an industrial connotation.
Outside of design and fabrication, his hobbies include hunting, fishing, and sports.
